Rebels Football Wins it's First Homecoming in MCA's History!
It has been 35 games and several years since the Rebels Football Program has recorded a victory and what perfect timing to get the win. Coach Lacy Wolf and his staff worked feverishly the past couple of years with these fine young men of the Mt. Carmel Athletic Club. The hard work is paying off - not only did the team win the Homecoming game but also the next game - that's two-in-a-row!
Over 480 fans poured in to Clear Lake Christian School Stadium on Saturday, October 19th to witness the historic and fun game. Roughly 440 MCA students, alumni, parents and families were on hand who can truly say, "I was there"! What a sight to see...Rebels fans storming the field in celebration of the Rebels Win!
One of the highlights of the evening came during halftime when the Homecoming Court was introduced. Coryn Wolf and Polo Glasper were crowned as Homecoming Queen and King. Thanks to all Mt. Carmel Rebels Alumni for joining us and making this a memorable night. Thanks to those Tail Gaters who purchased spots next to the field, to the Britt family (Prime Tail Gate Real Estate Auction Winners), to those who purchased add space to make our Homecoming Program possible, to everyone who purchased programs and food items from our concession stand.
Special thanks goes to Clear Lake Christian School for allowing the use of their football field and Constable Trevino's office for providing a safe environment for all of us. Thanks to many who made this special night possible... Homecoming committee, Program committee (esp. Lisa Moscareli and Linda Hernandez), Concessions committee, Security committee, Clean up committee, getting the King & Queen their things committee, Decorating committee, Serving committee, Welcoming committee, Site Preparation committee, Sound committee , and everyone else who helped!
